It's easy to explore Fyn and the islands by motorhome as long as you follow the rules for camping and parking. Find the current rules here - and have a good trip.

You’re welcome to explore Fyn and the Islands in a motorhome! Be sure to avoid parking fines or unforeseen expenses by reading the rules for camping and parking of motorhomes on the list below:

Overall, there are two basic rules you need to know and follow:

  • Always pay attention to local road signs.
  • Unless signs or regulations state anything else, the rules for all motor vehicles also apply to motorhomes.

Campsites
You may camp and spend the night at a campsite under the same conditions as other camping guests.

Marinas
You may camp if the marina has a designated campsite. This will be marked clearly with signs at the site.
You may park your motorhome in the marina's parking areas unless there are signs that prohibit parking.
The parking rules are described below in the section “Roads and parking areas in cities and urban areas”.

Roads and parking areas in cities and urban areas
You can drive and park your motorhome on all roads in urban areas, as long as you comply with traffic regulations.
It is also allowed to rest in the motorhome’s sleeping area.
However, if there are specific rules for driving and parking at any particular location, you must follow these rules. These rules will be indicated by local parking regulations or signage.
This could, for instance, involve parking hours or types of vehicles allowed.
For example, if it is indicated that parking is not allowed between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, this must be respected.
It is not allowed to set up tables, benches, grills, tents, or similar while parking any motor vehicle unless you have obtained permission from the road authority.

Green areas, such as beaches, forests, parks and other natural areas
Driving and parking on private roads in the countryside or purely private roads is allowed unless prohibited by signage.

Motorhomes are generally not allowed to drive or park on beaches, in forests, parks, or other natural areas unless permitted.

It is also not permitted to set up tables, benches, barbecues, awnings or canopies that enable overnight stays, unless this is permitted by agreement with the landowner or indicated by signage.
