Stay like a baron or baroness at Broholm Castle
At Broholm Castle you can experience a piece of Danish history that stretches back almost 700 years. The castle has witnessed many important events, from Christopher II to Margrethe II, and has played a central role in the stories of the noble families associated with it over the centuries - the Ulfeldt's, Skeel's and Sehested's. The castle is a wonderful blend of historic charm and modern comfort, with each room and suite carrying its own unique history and character, reflecting the people who have left their mark on them.
Broholm Castle is idyllically situated with a beautiful park, manor lake, moats and a historic watermill, just a stone's throw from the Nyborg-Svendborg road, midway between Hesselager and Oure. In addition to the castle's impressive architecture and history, guests can also visit the museum ‘Kammerherre N.F.B. Sehesteds Oldtidssamling’, which contains 60,000 antiquities and is now run by Svendborg & Omegns Museum.
The castle offers both guided tours and delicious meals in its restaurant, making it an ideal destination for both historical experiences and relaxation in a rural setting.
