Stokkebye Vineyard
Guided tour at Stokkebye Vineyard
Stokkebye Vineyard is a gastronomic high-end vineyard that supplies wine to many of Denmark's finest restaurant, here amongst Nyborg’s very own Michelin Guide restaurant Lieffroy. Stokkebye also exports its exclusive drops abroad. The wine is produced in Stokkebye’s own winery, and the winery has a total of 17,000 vines, the first of which were planted in 2009. At the vineyard, you can take a tour of the fields, see the production hall, and step into the wine shop to taste the wines. You may already be familiar with Stokkebye for their "Wine and Caviar" tastings. The owners themselves lead the tours and tastings.
Add on
It is possible to enjoy a meal in the restaurant, or to make a stop at some of the local farms, such as the farm shop Brugbar that sells sourdough bread, or at Kildegarden Highland Cattle that raises and sells meat from their own livestock.
Fun fact
The Stokkebye family makes 10,000 bottles of vine a year, which is equivalent to a small, top-level Champagne house. Their philosophy is that making wine with passion and love equals hand-made produce. Most of what happens in the field today is done the same way as it has been done for centuries.
